ROMANTICISM- WEAPON OF SATAN (part 1)

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, hopefully, this article would benefit us....


The title is actually title of a book, written by Harun Yahya.  You can get this book via mr google, just type the title, and yeah, InsyaAllah you would find the website. Some quotes from the book would be included.


What is Romanticism???


What comes to your mind while spelling out the word. People might have define it in different ways, but what is romanticism according to Islam? Literary criticism? Yeah, actually it is, this book pointing on something else. So, it must be something to do with romance, love, couple. Part of it, but, it does not limited to the love between man and woman, there are other love which regard as romanticism. But, we would like to discuss it later.


"In societies where the practise of religion has lapsed, it is often the case that what is true comes to be regarded as false, and, conversely, what is false is regarded as true."


Harun Yahya defined romanticism as follows:


There is subtle danger that leads people away from religion, prevents them from submitting to God as their Lord, and ultimately, brings numerous other forms of trouble and distress upon them. This danger is romanticism, which leads people to live, not according to their reason, but according to the their emotions; that is, according to their desires, hatreds, their susceptibility to temptations and their whims.

Sentimentalism, or in other words, romantic longing, makes itself known most often under the guise of "love". 


Sentimentality has become part of cultural ignorance that has now brought millions of people throughout the world under its influence.


Movies, magazines, books, novels, songs, both printed  and non-printed materials, they are main contributors to the variety of love story nowadays. They are defining love in different ways but still they share same characteristics, everything is right when it comes to love. Bravo. We find that we cannot avoid from it, it has becoming part of our lives. Why bother to run from it? 


Is that what you are going to answer when you meet Allah?


"Love is indeed a wonderful emotion, accorded to humanity by God, but it is important to distinguish whether it is real, who it is directed to, what sentiments it is founded on."


"Our inner-self always urging us to do wrong, with Satan instigating us to commit even greater wrongs."

Have you seen him who takes his whims and desires to be his god-whom God has misguided knowingly, sealing up his hearing and his heart and placing a blindfold over his eyes? Who then will guide him after God? So will you not pay heed? (Quran, 45:23)

Allah grants us with aql, which make us special from other creatures. Use it wisely. He brings us into existence for reason, we have mission to be accomplished in this earth.  He has chosen us to be a Muslim, sebaik-baik umat. Be thankful to Him.

The 10 Sickness of The HEART

ARE THEY UNNOTICED OR ARE WE BEING IGNORANT?

We were sitting on the bench in front of the library while waiting for our lecturer. Then, a cleaning lady passed in front of us.

My friend greeted her with a smile and asked her whether she’s fine or not.

Then I asked my friend with 1001 weirdness.

Did you know her?

Nope.

Then?

If we treat people with kindness, people will treat us back with kindness.

Ooo….T.T (wadussssshhhhhhhh….repeeeeennntttt…..)

But, some might argue that the world does follow this 'theory'. If we do a good deed, nobody would notice it. In the worst case, they make fun of our effort.

Did you forget about Allah, The Knower of All? He is noticing you, and also counting the effort you have done.

Okay, Back to the topic…

STOP AND STARE (humming)…. Look around you. We, most of the time, forget to STOP and SMILE to all those people who HELP us to cleaning our IPG. Our classrooms, toilets, hostels, library...

We say Alhamdulillah to show that we are grateful to Allah. How are we showing our ‘thanks’ to those cleaners?

Throw the rubbish into the dustbin.  Excellent!

Let’s being double triple excellent person. How?

Greet them with salaam and a smile.

Say thank you.

In order to show our appreciation and it might be some sort of motivation for them.

Our Deputy Director, Mr. Mehander Singh also said thank you to the cleaner who came to clean his room every morning. (source: trusted and guaranteed)

Dr. Mehander is more educated than us, and he’s not a muslim, but he can show some respect to them. We only a student, plus a Muslim, what are the reasons do we have to not saying ‘thank you’, or give a smile to them?   

It’s their responsibility…maaa…

Have no time.

In hurry.

It’s complicated.

Shy. =.=”

They might have a wider knowledge than us. They might be more special in Allah’s ‘eye’ compared to us. We never know.

Above all, we also aware to whom the greetings we should give.

Sisters(Muslimah) greet the women, Brothers(Muslimin) greet the men.

Let’s spread the salaam among us.

The Prophet ﷺ (peace be upon him) has told us: “O People! Spread salaam, feed the hungry, be in touch with your kin, and pray while people are asleep (at night) you shall enter paradise peacefully. (Tirmidhi)

And he ﷺ was asked about the best actions and he replied: “Feeding the hungry, and saying salaam to those you know and those you don’t know.” (Bukhari and Muslim).

How The Prophet [peace be upon him] Performed Ablution

What Level Are You On?

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..

Assalamualaikum to all brother and sister... 

As we’re approaching mid-Ramadan, we need to assess ourselves from every level and see how well we’ve done. We need to assess our Spiritual Productivity, Physical Productivity and Social Productivity.

Usually people can be divided into 3 categories around this time:
Category 1: Those who started well and continue to do well. These are the power starters and those who push themselves each and every day to make the most of Ramadan!

Category 2: Those who started well but slowly start to slip in their good deeds. These are the people who had an amazing strong start, but soon they relaxed and next thing they know their schedules have gone hay-wire.

Category 3: Those who had a bad start and they are not sure what they can do to get back up.

For those in Category 1, I say to them, may Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) keep you steadfast! Keep up the good work and never ever let go! It is as narrated in the hadith consistent good deeds is what Allah loves.

For those in Category 2, don’t panic! Assess what needs to change in your life so you can get back on track, and set yourself a target to do better in the next 10 days. Don’t give up hope, the best part of this month is yet to come inshaAllah!

For those in Category 3, TODAY you must change! Get up now, make wudu, pray 2 raka’ah to Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) and ask Him to help you make the most of Ramadan. Trust me, if you continue as you are, come end of Ramadan and you’ll regret it, and by that time, it’ll be too late and you’ll have no one to blame but yourself.

IMAN IS PATIENCE & FORGIVENESS

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Quran.

His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him every way he could. One day the grandson asked, “Papa, I try to read the Quran just like you but I don’t understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Quran do?”

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied. “Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water.”

The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, “You’ll have to move a little faster next time,” and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.

The old man said, “I don’t want a bucket o of water, I want a basket of water. You’re just not trying hard enough,” and he went out the door to watch the boy try again.

At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the house.

The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty.

Out of breath, he said, “See Papa, it’s useless!”

“So do you think it is useless?” The old man said, “Look at the basket.”

The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out.

“Son, that’s what happens when you read the Quran. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it , you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of Allah in our lives.”
